Host Family Accommodation
Normally, short term students book either a host family or an apartment in advance and remain in that accommodation for the entire duration of their stay. Long term students , on the other hand, normally book an initial period of between two and four weeks in a host family and then decide whether to stay in their host family or move to a Swan Apartment or share a house or apartment with other Swan students. We have a notice board in our reception area and there are always notes from students looking for other students to move in with them and share a room or an apartment/house. This is the choice preferred by the majority of our long term students. The choice that you make is entirely at your personal preference.
Host Family Accommodation
We recommend that you stay with one of our host families as this gives you the chance to practise your English in an easy and natural manner. Your stay with your host family contributes to your total learning experience. On a personal level, many of our students and host families develop personal friendships and remain in contact after the course has finished.
You should know that all, of our host families are regularly personally inspected by our accommodation officer, are situated in fashionable and prestigious areas of Dublin ( Irish families do not generally live in the city centre).
